County sales tax shows increase in June 2026

Sales tax revenues showed an increase for June 2026 from June 2025 for Burleson County in Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock’s latest monthly report.And, all cities within the county also showed increases.The report was based on sales made in April by businesses that report tax monthly.

HART saves from heartbreak

Burleson County’s Haven Animal Rescue of Texas (HART) brought some light to a dark weekend for a local family by helping recover their beloved dog Tinley after she went missing in a car accident.Tinley’s family was involved in a fatal car wreck at Burleson-Lee county line on Saturday, June 20.
