Sales tax holiday set for Aug. 9-11

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced that shoppers they can save money on clothes and school supplies during the state’s annual sales tax holiday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-11.This will be the 25th year for the sales tax holiday.

Copper, tin, electrical wiring stolen on CR 430

Someone stole some copper and tin off a storage building and some nearby electrical wiring last weekend from a residence on County Road 430.The thefts were discovered on Sunday morning, July 28, and reported to the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office, said Sheriff’s Lt. Joey Garza.
