Caldwell’s Travis Balcar and Daniel Cowan won gold in their individual events at the District 19/20 Class 3A Area Track & Field Meet last Thursday in Rockdale.
Balcar threw the discus 151 feet to earn first in the boys’ event, and Cowan jumped 6 feet 2 inches in the high jump to place first.
As a team the Caldwell boys finished fourth with 73 points.
