    The Caldwell Hornets defeated Fairfield 8-5 and 5-2 last Friday, May 6, in the bi-district playoff series.

    Caldwell (19-11) will face Lorena (23-3), ranked number six in the state, in the area playoff this Thursday, May 12 and Friday, May 13 at Georgetown East View High School.
