The Somerville Yeguas opened district play last Friday at home with a 58-50 win over Burton.
TheYeguas improved to 9-12 overall.
The game was tied at 12-12 in the first quarter before the Yeguas moved into a 24-21 lead at halftime. It was still anybody’s game after three quarters with Somerville leading 4238.
The Yeguas outscored the Panthers 16-12 in the final period to win it.
