Grant funding awarded for Dabney Hill Lodge preservation

The Texas Historical Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant toward preservation efforts for the 1890s Masonic Lodge building at Dabney Hill Freedom Colony near Snook.
In addition, Preservation Texas has provided a $5,000 matching grant.
Lane Transou of the Texas Historical Foundation presented their $5,000 check to the nonprofit Dabney Hill Missionary Baptist Church Inc., on Friday, June 21.
