Burleson County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a forgery case involving a $7,177 check.
A man on County Road 339 wrote a $7,177 check to another man for remodeling work on his house, but the man doing the work said he never received the check, said Burleson County Chief Deputy Bill Rios.
The check had been placed in the man’s mailbox, he said.
