A natural gas leak at a construction site on State Highway 36 South in Caldwell prompted an evacuation of two nearby restaurants on Saturday afternoon, May 10, but the leak was successfully plugged.
No explosion or injury occurred, and no property was damaged, said Caldwell Fire Chief Harry Bowers.
