The Caldwell Hornets broke out of a close game with two big runs in the top of the sixth to defeat Florence 16-7 on March 22 and then played error-free in a 4-1 home win last Friday over Little River-Academy.
Caldwell improved to 9-9 overall and 3-2 in district play.
