Funeral services for Dorothy Lee Parker, 92, of Caldwell, were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Dorothy was born Nov. 20, 1931, in San Antonio, to Harry Griffin and Olga Hale.
She attended several schools in Burleson County and married Frank Parker on July 16, 1950, and they lived several years in Dallas County before returning to Caldwell in early 60s.
Dorothy was employed by Leisure Lodge Nursing Home for more than 20 years.
She was a longtime member of Caldwell Church of Christ.
She was a loving and devoted mother and always put her family first. She was always available to babysit with the grandchildren and always kept a good supply of Coke and Blue Bell ice cream on hand for their visits.
During her time of residence at Burleson St. Joseph Manor, she became close to her caregivers and considered them family. They called her Honey.
She died on Oct. 21, 2024. Survivors include one son; two daughters; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
