ELAINE IMHOFF

Elaine Cynthia Doss Imhoff, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2022, at the age of 72.

Visitation was held at 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Caldwell First Assembly of God.

Interment followed at Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.

Elaine was born in 1950 in Houston, to Melvin and Lillian Doss, who instilled in her values of integrity, generosity, and hard work.

The family moved to their 160-acre homestead in Caldwell when Elaine was a young child.

She eventually graduated as Caldwell High School’s valedictorian in 1968.

She attended business school in Austin, then worked for several businesses and later the Burleson County Probation Department in Caldwell.

Elaine worked for the Texas Department of Transportation in Bryan for more than 30 years, retiring in 2008.

She married Michael John Imhoff in 1987 and gave thanks for his daily companionship and devotion, which she returned in full measure.

She was a caring mother to her two children, Jennifer and Jason, from a previous marriage, and an attentive and playful grandmother to Lucy and Henry, to whom she was known as Nonnie.

Elaine was a member, over time, of several area Christian congregations, including First Baptist Church in Caldwell, Community Chapel in Lyons, and most recently, Caldwell First Assembly of God. She was a faithful servant who lived a Christ-centered life, enriching her church fellowships.

Her friends remember her warmth, loyalty, and kindness.

She appreciated a wellkept house, cooked wonderful meals, and created handmade gifts, including cards and needlecraft designs for those she loved.

Elaine had a great laugh and wonderful sense of humor. She made other people feel at home, and she welcomed them always.

She was a careful steward of all that was entrusted to her in her lifetime.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Mike Imhoff; her two children, Jennifer Belcik of Bryan, and Jason Belcik and his wife, Kim, of Austin; grandchildren, Lucy and Henry Belcik of Austin; and her brother, Curtis Doss and his wife, Ann, of Caldwell. She also leaves behind other family members and friends who will always remember her gracious and luminous presence.

Memorial gifts may be made in her name to The Coming King Foundation, P.O. Box 290555, Kerrville, Texas, 78029.
