A celebration of her life service for Evelyn Lillian Paul, 95, of Rockdale, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Evelyn Lillian Paul (Zapalac) was born on March 16, 1929, in El Campo, to James and Christina Zapalac.
She was one of four children.
Evelyn met the love of her life, Mr. Joe Paul, and she just knew he was the one. They were married on Saturday, July 26, 1953, in Caldwell.
Evelyn and Joe were blessed with two children, Joe and Lynette.
Evelyn loved working with plants. She was an avid container gardener, and she also made amazing bread and kolaches among many other delicious treats.
She died on Jan. 4, 2025. She is survived by one son and his wife; one daughter and her husband; three grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
