A memorial service for Floriene Frances Henning (Baklik), 96, of Pensacola, Fla., was held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory (South) in Pensacola, Fla.
Floriene was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Dime Box, Texas, and grew up in Caldwell, Texas.
After graduating from high school in 1942 she and her family moved to Houston,Texas, where she met her future husband, Charles H. Henning II.
They were secretly married in 1944. Together they had three sons, Leland (Lee) D. Henning, Byron D. Henning, and Charles H. Henning III.
She and her husband and sons moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1960.
She was an exceptional golfer.
She and her husband moved to Pensacola, Florida, in 1993.
Floriene loved and was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a wonderful sunny disposition, gave the benefit of the doubt to everyone and found the silver lining in every cloud.
She died on Thursday, April 14, 2022, after a short illness.
She is survived by three sons; one sister; two nephews; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
