A funeral service for Frederick Lamar Graves, of Caldwell, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Fred was born on April 13, 1944, to Bea Blake and Frederick Graves Sr. Fred spent a lot of his youth, and adult life visiting Surfside Beach, Texas, with his family.
He was an avid hunter of whitetail deer and hunted all his life.
Fred loved to fish. As soon as his kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were old enough to hold a fishing pole he would take them fishing.
He also loved to countywestern dance with his wife, Dee.
He was a devoted man of Faith, who loved his church and church family very deeply.
Fred was a welder by trade. His talent of welding was used for the church playground equipment, the frame that holds the bell and a barbecue pit.
He adored his wife, children, grandbabies, great-grandbabies and his dogs, especially Saucy, who misses him terribly. Fred will be missed beyond words.
He died on Sept. 18, 2026. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Dee Graves; four children; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-grandsons on the way.
