A Memorial Service for Gayle Lynn Maresh, 84, of Brenham, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 9, 2024, at Independence Baptist Church, located at 10405 F.M. 50, in Brenham.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1940, in Brenham, to Luther Johnson and May Belle (Wood) Young.
Gayle attended Somerville High School, where she was known for her charm and school spirit.
Gayle embraced her role as a homemaker, raising her beloved children and creating a warm, loving home.
When Gayle was living in Houston, she enjoyed volunteering her time as a Candy Striper at the hospital.
Gayle maintained her love of family, was always calling and checking in, no matter where. She expressed gratitude for her long life of 84 years. Gayle’s fur baby, Babe, was a constant companion and dear to her heart.
She died on Oct. 23, 2024. She is survived by one son and his wife; one daughter and her husband; two grandchildren; one brother and his wife; one sister; one brotherin- law; many nieces and nephews; and many greatnieces and great-nephews.
