A memorial service for Gerald L. “Jerry” Stillwell, 89, will be held in the near future.
He was born Feb. 4,1935, in Tennessee, to Wayne and Marie Stillwell.
Family and friends were things that were extremely important to Jerry.
He met Annette in San Antonio. They married and enjoyed 68 years together.
Jerry had a quiet demeanor and a very quick wit. He was a very honest and well respected man.
Jerry grew up in Copperhill, Tennessee.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a military policeman and Judo instructor in Korea.
After leaving the service, he worked as a branch manager for 3M National Advertising Company where he received numerous sales awards.
Later in Texas, he started his own successful general contractor business. Building large manufacturing facilities, churches, retail centers, apartment complexes and custom homes for many years before retiring.
Jerry’s life as a husband, father, grandpa, soldier, and, friend was one of great joy.
He died on Oct. 22, 2024. He is survived by his wife, A.N. Stillwell; children; and beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
