Harold Wayne Tucker, 79, of Hereford died on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service will be held.
Harold Wayne Tucker was born on Sept. 28, 1941, in Red River County, to William Thomas and Linda J. Tucker.
Harold married the love of his life on July 9, 1965, and was baptized in 1977.
He enjoyed doing yard work, building things, tinkering around the house, watching old westerns on TV like Gunsmoke and John Wayne movies.
He never knew a stranger and was blessed with a contagious smile and laugh. He had a big heart, great sense of humor, was a hard-working family man and was the most kind and generous soul, family members said. His family and friends will always carry memories of him forever in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Thomas and Joe Tucker; his son, Ronny Tucker; his sister-in-law, Paulette Tucker; and his grandchild, Stephanie Frausto.
Harold is survived by his wife, Linda Tucker; his son, Steven Tucker and wife, Sherri, of Somerville; his daughter, Kerry Schnittger and husband, David, of Somerville; his brother, Jerry Tucker and wife, Janet, of Vega; his sisters, Martha Hammond and husband, David, of El Salvador, and Brenda Goheen and husband, Gary, of Hereford; his grandchildren, Ryan Coffey of Tulia, Amanda Elizalde and husband, Hector, Jennifer Jimenez and husband, Blas, Jade Tilligkeit and husband, Eric, Dylan Schnittger and wife, Ashlyn, Megan Schnittger, Mason Tucker, Brianna Hathcoat and husband, Matthew, Seth Coffey and wife, Rebecca, and Lauren Coffey; numerous nieces and nephews; and 21 greatgrandchildren.
