Services for Jack Darwin Tamplin, 78, of Caldwell, will be held at a later date.
He was born on May 15, 1946, in Houston, to Joe and Melba Tamplin.
Jack grew up in Katy. He was one of four brothers.
As a young man, he loved to rodeo and was a member of the local volunteer fire department.
Shortly after graduation, he joined the Army and served his country in Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Polk, Louisiana.
In 1980, Jack moved to Caldwell, with his wife and children where he spent his life working in the community that he loved, and for the people he loved.
He became a very wellknown contractor in the community and took pride in his relationship with his customers.
Jack was the type of person that anywhere he went, he found a friend to talk to.
He dedicated his life to serving the Lord and spent his time devoted to learning more on how he could better serve his Lord.
He died on Nov. 25, 2024. He is survived by one brother; three children; seven grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren.
