Jessie Mendoza, 62, of Caldwell, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 1 p.m. in the Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Matt Kelly will officiate.
Jessie Mendoza was born in Sinton, Texas, on March 2, 1960, to Herman Mendoza and Truida (Sanchez) Mendoza. He attended Lamar High School in Rosenberg, Texas. Jessie married the love of his life, Sharon Glover, on November 11, 1989, in Snook, Texas. He worked as an Oil Plant Supervisor and retired in 2015. He enjoyed playing pool, horseshoes, and drinking beer. Jessie was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and never missed a game. When he could, he would go fishing to relax.
Jessie is preceded in death by father, Herman Mendoza; stepfather, Benito Villegas; and his brother, Herman Mendoza, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Mendoza; his mother, Truida Villegas; his four children, Inez Mendoza-Russom and husband, Patrick, Kasyce Coleman and husband, Roger, Jessie Mendoza Jr. and wife, Marci Gutierrez, and John Mendoza and wife, Jordan Loehr; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and siblings, Pete Mendoza, Albert Mendoza, Angel Mendoza, Gracie Mendoza, Patsy Villegas Martinez, Ruben Villegas, Rudy Villegas, Raymond Villegas, Benny Villegas and Joe Villegas.
