Jose Angel Ramon Sr.

Jose Angel Ramon Sr. 56, of Snook, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his home.

A public visitation was held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 6-7 p.m. in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Interment followed at Snook Cemetery.

Jose Angel Ramon “Joe” was born on November 1, 1957, in Sinton, to Simon Rogelio Ramon and Maria Rosario Ramon. He was one of nine siblings.

He graduated from Snook High School in 1988.

Joe was an oilfield welder for most of his life. He had a passion for welding and he loved spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed working being outside and working on vehicles.

Joe was a loving brother, father and friend.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Simon Ramon; and sister-in-law, Regina Kay Ramon.

He is survived by his only child, Jose Angel Ramon Jr. “JoJo”; along with five brothers, Simon Ramon Jr., Isidro Ramon, and Martin Ramon Sr. of Bryan, Reynaldo Ramon Sr and wife, Alvina Ramon, of Caldwell, Anastacio Ramon and wife, Mary Helen Ramon, of Snook; as well as three sisters, Lydia Miller and husband, James Miller, of Bryan, Alicia Flores and husband, Hector Flores Sr., of Navasota, and Ann Ramon of Temple; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe will always be remembered as the funloving brother/uncle who could make anyone laugh and every situation fun. He will be dearly missed.
