A Mass of Christian Burial for Jose “Pepe” Balleza Dominguez, 56, of Caldwell, will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell.
Visitation and Rosary will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021, in the Chapel of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mr. Dominguez died on Friday, March 26, 2021.
Pepe was born on Feb. 11, 1965, in La Hincada, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
He was a well-respected member of his community and will be greatly missed, family members said.
Pepe and his wife, Rosa, raised their children in the community. Their love story was one for the ages and is evident in the love displayed in their family unity.
Pepe was an avid Texas A&M football fan and soccer fan.
He was an extremely loving father and grandfather, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for the love of his children and grandchildren.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbor. There should be more people like Pepe in this world: humble, kind, generous, and most of all, loving, family members said. May he rest in the Glory of Angels and in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Diega Dominguez Puente and Presciliano Balleza Gonzales.
Pepe is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Rosa Balleza Avalos; his children, Judith Cabanas and husband, Javier, Jose Balleza, Martin Balleza, Jorge Balleza, and Dalia Balleza; and his granchildren, A.J. Cabanas, Melanie Cabanas, Genesis Cabanas, Izaiah Balleza, Maliyah Rodriguez, and Cash Balleza (Newborn, whom he never got to meet, but knows his heartbeat in heaven).
