Marijane Frances (See) Kristof

Marijane Frances (See) Kristof, of Bryan, went to her heavenly home on January 19, 2025.

Marijane was born to John and Lillie (Quitta) See on August 19, 1945, in Bryan, Texas.

She grew up in Snook and worked helping her parents and five siblings with family and farm chores.

Marijane was baptized and later confirmed at the Snook Brethren Church in 1960.

She attended Snook Elementary and High School, graduating in 1963.

While in high school, she held various offices such as treasurer, corresponding secretary, class reporter and historian. She participated in FHA for four years and was on the honor roll all four years in high school.

She continued her education at Sam Houston State University and business school in Houston.

She returned to Bryan where she worked at BLD (cotton purchasers) and the Forest Science Department at Texas A&M University.

On April 30, 1966, she married Jay William Kristof at the Snook Brethren Church.

They lived in Snook until 1975 when they moved to Bryan, where they lived until 1978 when they moved to Angleton. Due to declining health, Marijane and Jay moved to the Bryan Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation Home on August 3, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie (Quitta) See; her daughter, Linda Kay (Kristof) Richardson; and her brother, Larry Otto See. In-laws, John and Mary (Zalmanek) Kristof; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Murtrey and Jane Stephens; and brothers-inlaw, John Kristof, Frank Kristof, Alvin Kristof, Raymond Kristof and Edward Kristof.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jay William Kristof, her eldest daughter, Terri Lynn Kristof Rubio; son-in-law, John David Richardson; brothers John William and Dorothy See, Edward Charles and Cathy See, Melvin Ray and Therry See, and sister Peggy (See) and Clint Williams; sisters- in-law, Cindy (Shafer) See and Margie (Kristof) Muzny.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Amanda Wehring, Rebecca Wratten and husband Dustin, Corinna (Richardson) Hunt and husband, Dylan, and Andrew Rubio and wife, Silvia.

She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Nathan Wehring, Brayden Wehring, Daxson Wratten, Jaxson Wratten, Elaina Rubio, Adalynn Pina and Carson Gonzales.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Snook Brethren Church in Snook, Texas.
