Mary Ruth Matejowsky Roe, 88, passed away on February 23, 2023, at her home.
Mary Ruth was a strong Christian woman in her love for Jesus and others. She came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1953.
Mary Ruth was born on December 10, 1934. She was the youngest daughter of Cecil Matejowsky and Lola Frances McLeod Matejowsky.
Mary Ruth attended school and graduated from Somerville High School.
She met Roy Roe at Bryan Air Force Base and married him on September 24, 1954. They traveled during Roy’s time in the Air Force. They lived in Missouri, California, and South Dakota. When Roy retired, they moved back to Texas and built their dream home.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; her parents; and sister, Cecil Jean Dallmeyer.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Frances Niemeyer and husband, Mike, of Bryan, and Rebecca Roe of Lyons. Mary had 2 grandchildren whom she loved very much, Kathy and Karl. Her most precious great-grandchildren, Randy and Carley. She is survived by her niece, Glenda and husband, Scooter; and Great-nephews, Randy and Rodney.
