Robert “Bobby” Villarreal, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on December 8, 2023, in Somerville, Texas.
He was born on January 18, 1971, in Brenham, Texas.
Bobby’s life was celebrated through two memorial events. The first event was a Visitation on December 11, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home located at 545 8th St, Somerville, Texas 77879. This was an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects and support one another during this difficult time.
The second event was the Funeral Service which took place on De-cember 12, 2023. It was held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church located at 333 Thornberry Dr, Somerville, Texas 77879 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Bobby leaves behind a large and loving family who cherishes the memories they shared with him.
Among his immediate survivors are his father, Thomas Villarreal; and mother, Gloria Villarreal. His sister, Sylvia Villarreal will hold Bobby close to her heart forever.
In addition to his immediate family members, Bobby’s extended family includes his aunt, Rosie Guerra and her husband, Servando Guerra; his aunt, Alice Perez; uncle, Joe Rodriguez and his wife, Connie; cousins, Ricky Perez and wife, Monica, Renee Brown and her husband, Matthew; great-cousins, Andrew Brown, Aiden Brown, and Blair Youngblood.
Bobby was preceded in death by grandparents, Santos and Eloise Vega, and Rafael and Inez Villarreal; great-aunt, Hope Trevino; and great-aunt and uncle, Valentine and Carmen Orozco; brother, David Louis Villarreal; uncles, Frank Vega and Enrique Perez.
Pallbearers were Sam Fuentes, Will Arias, Ricky Perez, Paul Jimenez, Jess Guiterez, Richard Morales, Randy Brinkman, Chris Arredondo, Darrell Ellis, and Mark Kristen.
Honorary pallbearers were Servando Guerra, Ruben Martinez, Abel Flores, Justin Lewis, Charles Whiting, Frankie Sifuentes, Victor Orozco, Oscar Orozco, Gene Perez, Matt Brown, Fernand Gil, Kevin Berrigan, Benito Orozco, Albert Martinez, Ambroise Martinez, Kevin Prejean, Ivan Bryand, James Mantey, Shelby Fritsche, Robert Moore, Victor Villarreal, and Roger Villanueva.
Bobby was known for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty. He touched the lives of many through his kindness and genuine compassion. He had an adventurous spirit that led him to explore the world with curiosity and fearlessness.
In Bobby’s memory, his loved ones will hold onto the joyous moments they shared with him and strive to live life to the fullest just as he did. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
