CHRISTINA REVILLA SANCHEZ

Christina Revilla Sanchez, 72, passed away on August 13, 2026, at home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Christina was born on February 24, 1954, in Milano, to her parents, Fernando and Juana Revilla.

She grew up grounded in a strong family and was the youngest of 10 other siblings.

She graduated from Milano in 1973.

Then she moved to Caldwell and worked at several convenient stores such as Zip’n, Hornets Nest and West End Ready Mart.

Then later she worked at Sealy Mattress along with her son, Clay.

Years later she retired from Caldwell ISD as a custodian.

In August of 2001, she married the love of her life, Rito Sanchez.

Together they enjoyed fishing, hanging out with friends at the Texan, and each other’s company watching westerns.

She loved gardening, sewing, 60s and 70s music and caring for others.

Lottery tickets and playing on the gaming machines were both something she found very fun and entertaining.

She was a very honest lady, and if you wanted the truth with a little lecture, she was the one you asked. She never sugarcoated her words, but it was always nothing but love.

Her later life was centered around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She did all she could to please those she loved and would never let you leave hungry. Her love language was cooking for her family which was inherited from her mom. Christina was always willing to share her recipes with those who would ask for them.

Christina’s life continues through her daughters, Chasiti (Kenneth) Benson, and Catina (Adam) Levan, both of Caldwell; her niece who was like a daughter to her, Rebecca (Derwin) Iselt of Lincoln; her grandchildren, Damion Hernandez, Marissa Pineda, Tristan Pecos, Alissa Pecos, Kandace Castaneda and Clayton Kye Castaneda; greatgrandchildren, Brayden Mendoza, Camila Alba-Pena, Saylah Montelongo, Lilliana Pecos, Jagger Perez, Kyle Montelongo and Benjamin Benson.

She is survived by her brother, Gilbert (Mary) Revilla; and her sister, Anita Saucedo, both of Caldwell; along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved wholeheartedly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Juana Revilla; her beloved only son, Clayton R. Pineda; brothers, Mike (Bertha) Revilla, Frank Revilla, Tony Revilla and Joe (Lupe) Revilla; sisters, Lucia (George) Orozco, Trina (Matilde) Hernandez and Ester (Noe) Rodriguez; and brother-in-law, Aniceto Saucedo.
