ROBERT MORTON

A Celebration of Life for Robert Joseph Morton, 56, of Frenstat was held at 11 a.m on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.

The family received guests from 10-11 a.m.

Mr. Morton died on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.

Robert was born on Aug. 19, 1965, the youngest of nine children, to Richard and Dorothy (Brennan) Morton in Detroit, Mich.

When he was a young man, he moved to Houston.

It was in the Houston area that a young lady named Joan Weichert caught his heart. Robert and Joan were married Aug. 5, 1989, and to this union were blessed two children, Amanda and Shelby.

He was known as a hardworking man, and this work ethic has passed to his family.

He was an employee with Grocers Supply for 30 years, reaching the title of Director of Retail Sales.

When Robert had any free time, you could find him fishing in the bay or at his ranch. These were his happy places. He also enjoyed hunting and riding around his property.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Rick Morton.

Robert is survived by his wife, Joan Morton; two daughters, Amanda Handlon and husband, Jonathan, and Shelby Morton and husband, J.C. Campion; two beautiful grandchildren, Emma and Wyatt Handlon; brother, Bill Morton and wife, Jodi; five sisters, Marsha Bur and husband, Russ, Diane Smith and husband, Roy Sr., Mary Patino, Leona Saputo and husband, Mike, and Cheryl Camileri and husband, David; brothers-in-law, Clint and Chris Weichert; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
