Funeral services for Sandra Marleen Whaley, 83, of Katy, Texas, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Sandy was born on July 20, 1938. Sandy was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit at age seven.
She married Gerald Don Whaley in 1956.
She and Gerald were the proud owners of the Dish Barn in Houston. They went on to open Sandy’s Hallmark in 1977.
She was also an avid NASCAR fan.
She loved her time reading the Bible and was a Sunday school teacher.
Her family was most important to her.
She died peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2022, in Katy, Texas.
She is survived by one daughter; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Sandy will be remembered as a beautiful soul, a wonderful mother and “Nana” and friend to all. She was a loving, caring, selfless person who always put others before herself. Her love for writing beautiful cherished pieces of literature, as well as heartfelt musical pieces are memories that will be forever cherished.
