A memorial service for Sarah Louise May, 71, of Caldwell, will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Sarah died on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in Bryan.
Sarah was born on June 2, 1949, in Conroe to Jasper Carr and Mary Smith.
Sarah grew up in the Conroe - Houston area. She met the love of her life there in early 1964, married that same year and had five beautiful children.
She was a homemaker at heart and as her children grew, she started to work in the food industry. This is where she met and married her second husband Rufus Reese.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Carr and Mary Carlisle; her first husband, Robert May; and her second husband, Rufus Reese; her sister, Virginia Votaw; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
Sarah is survived by her children, Robert May of Caldwell, Joe May of Oklahoma, Linda May of Caldwell, Mark May of Temple, and Michael May and wife, Michelle, of Caldwell; her six stepchildren; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sarah’s love and dedication to her family and friends will be cherished always. She will be deeply missed, family said.
