Stanley Ray Faust, 78, of Caldwell, Texas, is no longer with us as of Thursday, April 8, 2021. He remains with us only in spirit.
Stanley was born on June 6, 1942.
A graveside service in his honor will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell, Texas.
Stanley graduated from Caldwell High School where he was a winning track star.
He enjoyed all sports as well as hunting and fishing.
After basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, Stanley was stationed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, then Bossier City, La., at Barksdale AFB.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965, when he was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain.
Stanley lived for a short time in El Campo, Texas, before settling in to his home in Richmond/ Rosenberg.
He retired from his job at Quanex Vision Metals after 39 years of service as an electrical maintenance supervisor.
On July, 25, 1962, Stanley married his one true love, Delores Rathjen.
He had a duck and goose lease at Eagle Lake, Texas, where he loved taking his friends hunting. He even encouraged his wife to hunt with him.
He also enjoyed caring for his cattle in Rosenberg, and later at his home near Deanville.
Stanley loved listening to country and western music. He saw many of his favorite artists in concert such as, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, and George Jones, as well as many others, including Elvis Presley in Houston with his brother and sister-in-law.
His most enjoyable outing was seeing the Muhammad Ali and Jimmy Ellis fight at the Astrodome in Houston.
Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, John Jacob Faust and Matilda Prozak; his son, Norman Faust; his brother, Louis Faust; and his sister, Gladys Faust Jeske.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delores Marie Rathjen Faust; his sister, Mildred McLemore of Deanville; his brothers, Ernest Faust and his wife, Carolyn, of Caldwell, as well as Larry Faust and his wife, Crystal, of Cade Lake.
Stanley was the kind of person that was always willing to help anyone he could. From building a fence to any electrical problem, he was there to help without hesitation.
It is without a doubt that Stanley would want everyone to know that he is thankful for your loving gestures and kindness over the years.
The family would like to express special thanks to the wonderful, giving people who have provided continuous support and care. They are also thankful for the amazing staff at St. Joseph Regional Hospital.
