STUART PERRY

Stuart Thomas Perry, 58, of Caldwell, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, at his home.

A public visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, in the chapel at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Deanville, Texas, followed by interment at Birdsong Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Deanville Fellowship Hall.

Stuart was born on a beautiful Saturday morning, June 6, 1964, to Daniel C. Perry and Camille (Boehme) Perry in Caldwell, Texas. He was the third of three siblings.

Stuart was baptized on August 23, 1964, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Deanville and confirmed on May 14, 1978, at Christ Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Austin High School in 1982 where he played football and ran track.

Stuart was a machinist at South Austin Auto Machine Shop for over 30 years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working cattle, building fences, welding, baling hay, sports, politics, and playing the piano by ear.

Stuart loved his pets Leo the cat, and Bella his beloved dog.

Most of all he loved people. Stuart never met a stranger. He enjoyed visiting and just talking to people.

It was important to him, especially in his last days, to make sure that everyone knew Jesus Christ and accepted Him as their Lord and Savior.

Stuart was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Thomas and Mary (Brinkman) Perry, and Florenz and Cornelia (Buchorn) Boehme.

He is survived by his father, Daniel C. Perry of Caldwell, Texas; his mother, Camille (Boehme) Perry, of Austin, Texas; sister, JoAnn Hackbarth and her husband, John, of Texas City, Texas; brother, Preston Perry and his wife, Melody, of Brenham, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and his dog, Bella.

Donations may be made to your local Alcoholics Anonymous, Cancer Awareness, or Christian ministry of your choice. Special thanks to the pastors who visited and offered prayer as well as Hospice nurses for the care and support they have shown our family, and to family members who assisted in Stuart’s care in the weeks prior to his passing.
