Thelma Fay Ferguson Darling, 72, of Milano, was born on October 25, 1949, to Henry Alton Ferguson Sr. and Jo Ella Ferguson.
Thelma was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but always said you couldn’t pay her enough to move back. She resided in Milano for approximately the last 35 years.
Thelma loved decorating her church with the beautiful flower arrange-ments that she created.
She was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Caldwell for many years. Thelma was a true Baptist, and always had food ready for any church gathering.
Thelma had a love for, and a knack for, sewing and crafting with piles of supplies.
Thelma was a people pleaser, a peacemaker, and always apologizing for everything.
Kayla, her daughter, was her best friend, and her whole world. They loved sharing and reading books, and watching Gilmore Girls on repeat, as well as Hallmark Christmas movies.
Thelma passed away on December 21, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Texas.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Linda Jo.
Thelma leaves behind a daughter, Kayla Morris and husband, Lincoln; a son, Shawn Darling; sister, Henri Ferguson; brother, Henry Alton Ferguson Jr. and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Colton Darling, and Angelica Briggs; her beloved grandcat, Toffee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
