THERESA LYNN BUSH

Theresa Lynn Bush, more commonly known as Lynn, the name she preferred, passed away from this life peacefully on June 13, 2023, at the age of 71.

Lynn was born on May 24, 1952, in Monroe, Louisiana, to her parents, Dewey and Dorline McAdams.

She grew up with her sisters, Doris Machinski, and Kim Rachal, and brother, Ricky McAdams.

She lived in various cities in Louisiana through her teenage years, graduating from school in Lafayette.

She moved to Bryan, Texas, in the early 1980s where she met and married her loving husband, Frank Bush, on September 3, 1988. They had a storybook marriage for almost 35 years, boasting that they never had a major argument the whole time.

She had a passion for antiques and collectibles, doing shows with Frank all over the country until they opened a store in Post Oak Mall that lasted for 14 years. Since then she had been a valued employee for the Texas Department of Transportation and Dunham Engineering until her sickness forced her retirement.

She had unlimited energy and a mind that was always five steps ahead of her feet.

She also had a passion for gardening, making her yard the envy of the whole neighborhood.

Her other passion was traveling, never missing an opportunity to satisfy her “wander lust,” as she called it whenever she could.

Personally, her forthright and candid nature with honest “head on” advice, mixed with boundless compassion and selflessness toward anyone she thought needed it, made her a trusted friend and loved one to many people. She will truly leave a legacy of strength and kindness, bringing lasting inspiration to all. May she find everlasting Peace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her cherished niece, Ashley. They shared a special relationship that brought much joy and comfort. It is comforting to imagine them reunited in Heaven.

Surviving her are her husband, Frank; her siblings, Doris Machinski, Kim Rachal, and Ricky McAdams; an uncle, Herland Antley; and aunts, Semmie McAdams, Lena Salvaggio, and Sue Bush; many cousins; and three beautiful Godchildren, Emily Rachal, Kayla Ward and Ashlynn Scarmardo.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 19, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
