Funeral services for Virginia Rangel de Lazo, 66, of Caldwell, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Caldwell, Texas.
Virginia was born on May 21, 1956, to Fernando Rangel Campuzano and Socorro Barajas Torres in San Felipe, Guanajuato. She was the first born of their nine children.
Virginia married the love of her life, Inocencio Lazo Rangel, on Feb. 23, 1977, in Capetillo, Guanajuato.
Virginia had an immense passion for gardening, cooking, sewing, dancing, singing, and loved listening to her birds sing.
She loved to tell her children and grandchildren stories about her life.
Virginia loved making new friends everywhere she went. She was a very outgoing, selfless, caring, hardworking, compassionate, and loving woman. Her bright smile and loving heart lit up the lives of everyone she met.
Virginia loved the Lord and led her children and grandchildren by her example.
She died on Jan. 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by six children; 16 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
