Graveside services for Faye Paschall Heins, 76, of Somerville were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell.
Mrs. Heins died on Friday, July 23, 2021.
Faye was born on Aug. 8, 1944, in Deanville to Walter and Lizzie Franks Paschall.
She attended Deanville and Somerville schools along with her two elder brothers and three elder sisters.
Early in her life, Faye was married to Johnnie Langham and had one son, Sam Langham.
Many years after Johnnie passed away, Faye met Hugo Heins, whom she affectionately referred to as “the man of her dreams.”
After dating for about 18 years, Faye and Hugo were married on Jan. 21, 2016, at the VA Hospital in Temple. Their beloved Cocker Spaniel, Snoopy, was the best man at their wedding.
A lifelong Christian who was steadfast in her faith, Faye was baptized during her childhood years by Baptist Church minister Rev. Andrew Broaddus. She later faithfully attended Caldwell Brethren Church where she was also a member of the Caldwell Brethren Church Christian Sisters.
Faye was talented in many ways. She was an excellent cook and made many cakes and pies for countless numbers of people throughout her life.
In fact, her confectioneries were so delicious that Jake’s Restaurant in Caldwell proudly served them as part of their dining menu for many years.
She was also a very gifted seamstress who made a countless number of masks for the patients and staff at her cancer treatment hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Faye also took tremendous pride in maintaining her yard along with the many flowers and plants that adorned it. A true steward of God’s creations, she meticulously maintained the yards of many people in Burleson County as well as the surrounding counties for many years until her declining health forced her to slow down. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lizzie Paschall; her brothers, Allen Paschall and Clinton Paschall; her sisters, Mable Schelsteder and Luella Hruska; her husband, Hugo Heins; and her beloved dog, Snoopy.
Faye is survived by her son, Sam Langham; her sister, Gloria Knesek; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
