The season opener for the junior varsity Lady Hornet volleyball squad resulted in a loss to Leon on the road in straight sets 23-25, 16-25.
Game stats of note included: Caitlyn Faust, four kills, four digs and a 2.5 serve receive passing rate; Kelly Urbanovsky, 12 digs, seven assists, three kills and one ace; Charlie Singleterry, 10 digs.
Caldwell was scheduled to host La Grange on Tuesday, Aug. 17.
