In the district opener, the Hornet tennis team fell to Cameron Yoe 8-11 last Thursday evening at Sam Rayburn Middle School in Bryan.
It was a hard fought tennis match where Caldwell held a 4-3 advantage going into singles play, but the Hornets only won four out of the 12 singles matches -- eight matches went three sets, but Caldwell only won four of those marathon matches.
