Smithville intercepted a pass in the end zone in the final seconds to thwart a final Caldwell drive as the Tigers won 21-14 last Friday in Caldwell’s finale at home.
The Hornets, trying some different looks with three different quarterbacks, battled back after trailing 14-0 in the third quarter and 21-8 early in the fourth as the final drive fell just short.
