The Caldwell Hornets opened district play with a dominating 91-43 road win over Smithville last Friday.
Caldwell, now 11-12 for the season, bounced back after a 57-45 road loss to Brazos in their last non-district game on Tuesday, Jan 7.
In the Smithville game, Caldwell led 2310 in the first quarter and 38-23 at halftime before a 30-13 third quarter surge and a 6836 lead.
