The Caldwell Hornets lost to Little River-Academy 6-2 on Monday, Feb. 20, in their opener in Caldwell.
The teams were scoreless through four innings before the Bumblebees scored six runs in the top of the fifth inning for a 6-0 lead.
Caldwell responded with two runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Caldwell finished with three hits and two errors, and Academy had seven hits and one error.
