The Caldwell Hornets fell to state-ranked Lorena in two games last week in the area playoff, concluding a 19-13 season and a secondplace tie in district play.
Caldwell lost 1-0 on Thursday, May 12, and 7-0 on Friday, May 13, at Georgetown East View High School.
In game one, both teams had strong pitching, with Ryne Abel getting the win and Cayden Maxwell striking out 10 batters.
