Lady Yegua relay team leaves its mark in Somerville history
THE LADY YEGUA RELAY TEAM of Camia Martin, Ra’Maya Carter, Emma Kovasovic and Xadria Martin have made history by being the first Somerville girls’ relay team to qualify for the UIL State Track & Field Championships. The quartet qualified in both the Class 2A girls 4x100-meter (400-meter) and 4x200-meter (800-meter) relays.

Lady Yegua runners Ra’Maya Carter, Xadria Martin, Camia Martin, and Emma Kovasovic will make history this Friday when they run in Austin at the UIL State Track Meet. It will be the first time that Somerville girls have been represented at the state meet in relay events.
