The Tribune sports staff recently was honored at the Texas Gulf Coast Press Association’s (TGCPA) 2021 Better Newspaper Contest awards banquet, placing third in Sports Photography and Sports Writing for Division II.
The banquet was held during the TGCPA convention earlier this month in Giddings at Camp Tejas.
Division II is for large weekly newspapers (2,501 and above circulation).
