Lady Hornets fall to #9 Bellville, La Grange

Caldwell lost its final two district matches of the season last week, falling to Bellville on the road and La Grange at home.But, before with the losses, the Lady Hornets had already clinched a spot in the UIL Class 4A Volleyball Playoffs and will take on Sealy at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday, Oct.

CHS JV vball falls to Bellville, La Grange

The Lady Hornet JV volleyball team completed their 2025 season last week.Last Tuesday, the team was defeated by Bellville in a two-set match 14-25, 16-25.Lydia Hicks led the team offensively with five kills, and Tori Huber and Lilly Ayers led the defense, each with 10 digs.

Caldwell freshman vball falls to Bellville in three sets

The Caldwell freshman volleyball team went toe-to-toe with Bellville last Tuesday, and put on an exciting performance, but fell 11-25, 28-26, 20-25.Coach Casey Faske said, “The girls came out strong, fought hard and even stole a set from a tough opponent.

Lady Yeguas fall to Snook in play-in for UIL playoffs

In classic rivalry fashion, the Lady Jays defeated the Lady Yeguas in a play-in match to determine third and fourth place in District 25-2A and seeding for the UIL Class 2A Volleyball Playoffs.Though the match was a seesaw battle, Snook won in straight sets 2520, 26-24, 26-24.

Hornet offense stalls in 48-27 La Grange loss

Caldwell got off to the fast start they wanted last Friday against La Grange, but offensive inconsistency and defensive breakdowns after that proved too much to overcome.La Grange won 47-27 in Caldwell to improve to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in district play.

Granger running game tough as Somerville falls in fourth loss

The Somerville Yeguas got too far behind early and fell to unbeaten Granger 58-14 last Friday in Granger.Granger improved to 7-0 and 4-0 in district play with a first-place showdown coming up against Burton this Friday.
