CHS powerlifting competes at Milano Invitational

The Caldwell boys and girls powerlifting teams were in Milano last Wednesday, lifting at the Milano Invitational Powerlifting Meet.The Lady Hornets finished sixth in the team standings with 15 points.Milano won the team title at their own meet with a total of 40 points.

Lady Hornets take second place at Caldwell Tourney

The Caldwell Lady Hornets Golf Team placed second and the boys placed sixth last week at the Caldwell Tournament at Copperas Hollow Country Club.The girls finished with a score of 421, behind first-place Navasota with a 404.Madilyn Schneider shot a personal best round of 90 to lead the Lady Hornets.

Snook boys lift at Anderson-Shiro

The Snook boys powerlifting team traveled to Anderson-Shiro last Thursday, and finished the day fourth in the team standings.The Bluejays earned 26 points at the meet, while Franklin won the team title with 60 points.

Lady Jays fall to #22 Mumford

In the final district game for the Lady Jays, they hosted Number 22 Mumford, falling to the Lady Mustangs 38-21.Mumford took an early 12-6 lead by the end of the first half, extending the lead to 22-9 by halftime.

Snook pulls upset in 55-48 Mumford win

The Snook Bluejays took a giant leap forward with a 55-48 home win over second-place Mumford on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at home.The win improved their district record to 5-5 and kept alive their playoff hopes as they got to 16-13 overall.On Monday, Feb.

CHS’s Lady Hornet softball field gets new name

Saturday could not have been more perfect of a day for the annual Lady Hornet Alumni Softball Game -- a day that many former Lady Hornets look forward to when they can dust off their gloves and relive their “glory days” at Caldwell High School.

Lady Jays are playoff bound!

With last Tuesday’s 63-49 home win over Iola, the Lady Jays have punched their ticket into the UIL Class 2A Division 1 Girls Basketball Playoffs.This will be the first year UIL has divided the playoff teams into two brackets, and Snook will be in the larger school Division 1 bracket.
