The Caldwell City Council approved the employment contract of Charles West as the new city administrator at a called meeting on Monday, August 3, at 5:30 p.m.
The council interviewed West, along with two other finalists, at the regularly scheduled Tuesday, July 21, meeting, naming West as the lone finalist after a four-and-a-half hour executive session.
