A HISTORICAL MARKER was unveiled in February 2023 for the Dabney Hill Freedom Colony. Burleson County Judge Keith Schroeder and Gloria Smith conduct the unveiling. Both the church and the Ethiopian Star Lodge Masonic Hall No. 308 in Dabney Hill received grants to restore the buildings.
