2 acres of grass, wooded area also burn
A fire destroyed an unoccupied singlewide mobile home and burned about 2 acres of grass and wooded acreage on Thursday, Oct. 9, in Beaver Creek.
The fire occurred at 2:01 p.m. at 485 Ridgewood Drive when an ember from a controlled burn in a barrel flew out of the barrel and caught some nearby grass on fire, said Beaver Creek Fire Chief Doc Walden.
