Caldwell High School senior Sabine Lazo won the top prize from the area’s Voice of Democracy speech contest, sponsored by the Caldwell VFW Post No. 4458. The topic for the The topic for the speech contest was What Makes America Great. Lazo received $500 and was honored during a dinner and program Thursday night, Feb. 13, at the post, along with those placing in the area’s Patriot’s Pen essay…
