The body of a 70-yearold area man reported missing to Bryan police in May was found on Saturday morning, July 19, in a partially submerged, wrecked jeep in a pond off State Highway 36, about seven miles south of Caldwell.

RRC issues no new oil, gas permits in May

The Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) issued no new oil well drilling permits in Burleson County in May.The RRC report is for newly approved permits in the county, not for drill sites which were previously permitted.
