A Private Mass of Christian Burial for Angelita “ET” Munoz, 79, of Somerville, was held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville.

Private burial followed at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Munoz died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021.

Angelita was born on Oct. 1, 1941.

Angelita Munoz, affectionately known as Momma “ET” was a wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, taking sister trips, early morning coffee, gardening and dancing.

ET was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville.

She was patient, selfless, faithful, nurturing and always put others first; making her a respected member of the community, family members said.

She worked at Somerville ISD and continued to work with youth after her retirement.

ET also played women’s league softball and played first base.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margarito and Lucinda (Reyes) Orozco; her brother, Jose Orozco; her sisters, Pauline Sifuentes, and Angela Rodriguez; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Sifuentes, Jimmy Montelongo, Frank Garcia, Martin Rodriguez, John Murphy and Ajit Mankekar.

ET is survived by her son, Patrick Munoz and wife, Kimberly; her daughters, Gina Sanchez and husband, Gabriel, Monica Munoz, and Kathleen Munoz; her brothers, Delfino Orozco and wife, Magelena, and Gonzalo Orozco; her sisters, Antonia Montelongo, Nicanora Garcia, Lucinda Murphy, and Lucia Mankekar; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Cundiff and husband, A.J., Rylie King, Marina Munoz, Lexi Munoz, Abigail Munoz, Madeleine Sanchez, and Julian Sanchez; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Andres Murphy, Jackson Palmer, Ricardo Montelongo, Fabian Leyva, Frank Sifuentes and Victor Orozco.

Honorary pallbearers were Delfino Orozco, Gonzalo Orozco.
